3 Card Tonk Rules
3 cards distributed to each player; each player has 3 lives 'tonking' indicates other players have 1 more chance before ending round total score of 31 (wins automatically),everyone pays watching what other players pick up, to avoiding giving them good cards. It is a quick game with relatively straightforward rules. Its objective is to eliminate your cards by forming them into ‘spreads’, meaning either 3 or 4 identical cards, or 3 or more sequentially. A set is three or more cards of a kind. A run is three or more cards in the same suit in an increasing or decreasing sequence. Once a player makes a meld, they lay out the cards upright on the gameplay area. Players may play onto any other players melds as well as their own. When a player gets rid of all of their cards, they are out. A set of three or more cards of the same rank, such as 7-7-7. A run of three or more cards in the same suit, such as A-2-3 of hearts. A combination can contain more than three cards, but no card can be counted as part of more than one combination. During the game a player may add to their own spread, or an opponent’s spread. Play ends when a player has no cards left. Tonk is a matching card game. It is relatively a fast paced game that can be played by 2-3 players. Deal five cards, clockwise, to each player. Face cards count for 10 points, aces for 1, and the rest are at face value.
